- Shutdown all servers (AdminServer and Managed Servers)

Apply Patch 19926333

- Unzip the patch

Checking SOA 12c version

Checking SOA 12c version

For SOA 12c installs or patching, to check the version of existing SOA 12c, you can use the commandline script soaversion.sh located under $ORACLE_HOME/soa/bin or alternatively you may make use of the Fusion Middleware Web Console to check the version details of SOA 12c.

Example: For SOA 12.1.3.0.1

$ cd $MW_HOME/fmw/121/soa/bin/

$ ./soaversion.sh

Applying SOA BUNDLE PATCH 11.1.1.7.3 - Patch 18072286 

*** Please note - You must apply the same patch to soa and oracle_common homes at the same time. ***

Download the attached actions.xml in Doc ID 1901881.1 and copy it to {unzipped patch home}/etc/config replacing the current actions.xml

- FOR THE SOA HOME
  Set the ORACLE_HOME environment variable to SOA Home,
  for example "[MW_HOME]/Oracle_SOA1" directory.

- FOR THE oracle_common HOME
  Set the ORACLE_HOME environment variable to Oracle Common Home,
  for example "[MW_HOME]/oracle_common" directory.

- Stop Admin server & Managed servers. 

- unzip -d PATCH_TOP p18072286_111170_Generic.zip

- cd PATCH_TOP/18072286

- Run opatch apply ( Cold backup recommended before patching)

- Verify the patch by running opatch lsinventory | grep <patch_number>

- Start Admin & Managed servers.


Additionally you may also apply below patches on top of SOA 11.1.1.7.3

18691500 BP3 ISSUES WITH BPM WORKSPACE VIEWS

18106242  CUSTOM VIEW  FAILS ON EDIT AFTER FIX FOR 18025182

For both these patches, simply set the ORACLE_HOME=$MW_HOME/Oracle_SOA1, and apply patch via opatch

If any issues after applying the patch and rollback is required, run below command:

$ opatch rollback -id patch_number and restart the services.

In SOA 11.1.1.7.1 & SOA 11.1.1.7.2 environments, when you login to BPM worklist app integration/worklistapp and select ANY from the status dropdown you get an error popup on the screen as below:

Resolution:

1. Login to the em console
2. Right click on soa-infra
3. Goto Administration ->SystemMBean Browser
4. Goto Application Defined MBeans
5. Find Oracle.as.soainfra.config ->Expand "Server: <your server name>"
6. Goto SoaInfraConfig -> click on soa-infra

Verify if below properties are set correctly to the Virtual Host URL or valid IP:

- CallbackServerURL
- HttpsServerURL
- ServerURL


- Make changes if required and restart Managed servers & Admin server.
- Verify if you can now login to /bpm/composer and /bpm/workspace urls.
