- Shutdown the services
- Backup $MW_HOME/config/domains/bi_domain/config/bipublisher/repository
- Create a new directory - $MW_HOME/newrep with appropriate permissions
- Invoke a VNC session
- Start the Upgrade Assistant
cd $MW_HOME/fmw/111/oracle_common/bin and run the upgrade assistant
$ ./ua
- Select Upgrade Oracle BI Publisher Repository
- Specify Source Details
Select Upgrade 10g BI Publisher Repository Directory
Repository Directory: $MW_HOME/config/domains/bi_domain/config/bipublisher/repository/
- Specify Destination Details
Destination Repository Directory $MW_HOME/newrep
- Specify WebLogic Server
- Examining Components
Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher component should show status SUCCEEDED.
- Upgrade Summary
Review Source and Destination Repository Directory and Click Upgrade
- Upgrading Components
Monitor the upgrade progress
- Upgrading Components
Upgrade finished.
- Upgrade Success
- Start the services
- Perform post upgrade verification checks and additional post upgrade steps as necessary.
